[Scan-DC] Frederick Md 800 Updates:

All:

   Frederick County continues to update and add new talk groups to its =
800 trunking system.  I've positively ID'd Maryland State Police "B" =
barrack on the net.  Testing was conducted Thursday, and they went =
operational late Friday afternoon. =20

The TG for MSP "B" is:     1872

Thus far, they are still simulcasting on 39.400.  I haven't heard any =
other MSP traffic on the system as of yet.

Frederick County had a double homicide in Walkersville today; all local =
PD were activated and advised to respond to our staging areas; it turned =
out this was a domestic that went bad, and not the DC sniper. =20
During this incident, I was searching the net; no new TG's were ID'd.
There was still some communications problems between MSP and the =
Frederick County Sheriff's Dept.  Troopers and Deputies could not =
communicate with one another.  My guess (and its only a guess) is that =
the county "common" channel, TG 144, is either not available to MSP, or =
no one thought to use it.

Other new ID's this week:

208:  Used as "CID" channel by Sheriffs Dept; typically, this is units =
wanting a more private conversation, car to car, and not a detective =
channel.  However, its called "CID", so that is what I'm labeling it :)

112:  This is the Court deputies channel, but its official name is =
"Judiciary".  Heard it referred to by this name twice by sep. units and =
a dispatcher, so thought I'd put it out for those who like exact names =
for channels in use!

On the Fire Dept side of things, I've picked up one more TG:

16016:  I first heard this referred to as "Hazmat", but for the past =
week or so, the dispatcher is calling it "Admin".  So are the FF.  So, =
until I hear otherwise, I'm labeling it "Admin/Hazmat".


Lastly, on the Public Works/Other channels...

688:  I can positively ID this one as belonging to Frederick County =
Parks Department.

912:  Frederick County Solid Waste/Landfill



Lastly, this system has lots of encrypted users.  TG's that are totally =
encrypted are:

984
976
4048
1008

There are a few more that pop up every so often, but these are the most =
active. =20
