There are several developments on the trunking front that merit some
attention.

A. Rehoboth Beach continues to have problems with the 800 Mhz Delaware
system, and may stop using it as a primary comm link until the issues are
resolved.  There's a nice article about it here;

http://www.delawareonline.com/newsjournal/local/2002/10/15rehobothunhappy.html

B. On the digital trunkers front, there's some rumblings that the 785/250
won't be available until January, which of
course misses the Xmas shopping season. In addition, there's word that the
digital card may *not* handle 9600 baud
control channels, just the more common 3600 baud ones. So far, both notes
are unconfirmed. Keep an eye on
http://www.strongsignals.net for more information and developements

C. On a more positive note, it seems St.Mary's County has begun using
their new 800 Mhz EDACS system. The list of
talkgroups has been widely disseminated, but I first read about it on the
Scan St Mary's website, which is:

   http://www.scan-saintmarys.org/

and is currently available on our Maryland page, under the conventional
frequencies (which we should probably move
to the trunking section :.))

More info on Eastern Shore trunking developments (and more importantly,
websites with scanner freqs) are always
 welcome.
