Hmm... I just called the RS on King Street and I was told that the PRO-2050
is going for $79.97.  The PRO-2052 is still listed at $299 (which I
confirmed with another store as well).  I bought the PRO-2050 about a month
ago at the RS in Lake Forest Mall for $99 on clearance-10% for using my RS
card.  It wasn't a bad deal, but I wouldn't mind the PRO-2052 at that price
with the RS-232 control.  I'll keep my eyes open, maybe the guys I spoke
with aren't well informed :)

On a related note, does anyone know of someone using the PRO-2052 in a
streaming audio project?  I figure I can write some code to control the
scanner via the web and stream the audio... similar to JavaRadio or similar
sites, but for less than the cost of an ICOM PCR-1000, etc.
