This is not true. USPP is up at 1.7 & 1.8 GHz. Several times during the
event, there was dialogue between Eagle and the JOCC about which frequency
was being used due to the loss of reception.

Actually they use frequencies in the 5.8 GHz range. I have spoken to the
guy who supplied thr equipment to both USPP and MPD.
