Good morning. I am a strong supporter of Alan and this group, so I guess
I'll put my two cents in. With so many of our local agencies going digital I
think we have to focus resources to help prepare our group members for the
release of the new BC 250D and BC785D units. That is to say, pull together
as much talkgroup information on the Fairfax, DC Fire/EMS, Loudoun, Prince
William systems etc as possible, and see if several of our more savvy members
will help with programing issues etc when the units come out this fall. With
the pc programmable software that will be available, we should encourage the
sharing of the data files containing pre-programed scanning lists and
talkgroup IDs. I know many of you will say that Lindsey already does this,
but let's face it, he depends on members of this group to supply him with
this information.
Regards,
John Nash
