The (clearly marked) DMV van with roof ball regularly haunts route 50
near gum spring road. In addition that stretch between the weigh
station
and rt. 28 is regularly patrolled by State Police, Loudoun and Fairfax
County motor carrier enforcement units. No wonder, almost every morning
I get stuck in "dump truck rush hour" with all lanes blocked
by very slow moving trucks. I'm sure that weigh station at
Gilberts Corner is positioned to protect Middleburg, but it would
be much more useful around the Arcola/South Riding area.
