I am in the process of writing a magazine article on video microwave
reception that may or may not be published. The subject addresses a new mode
of monitoring/scanning. I also am finalizing a microwave video frequency
directory that will be marketed later this year. If the "how to" video
microwave reception article is not published, it will be incorporated in the
microwave frequency directory. The directory will include various microwave
frequencies of interest (i.e., law enforcement, NASCAR in car , fire
departments, golfing events, wildlife surveillance, aircraft flight testing,
videosenders, etc.) where applicable for all 50 states, its possessions, and
DC. There is a reasonably priced new product available that incorporates a
monitor with scanning feature for microwave video signal reception. I have
been "beta" testing the product which can be used either fixed or with some
creativeness in mounting also mobile. It works. Another different microwave
receiver is available but requires dip switch settings and scans a limited
number of user entered frequences. The first product especially would be a
valuable equipment addition to anyone involved in ECM or video surveillance
activities. Many of the interesting microwave frequencies are beyond the
tuning range of the R3. Without addressing more specifics, fyi your subject
microwave video transmission of interest is not satellite delivered and you
cannot receive it using an R3.
