  The best place to get info on a radio is from someone who uses them.  If you go to http://groups.yahoo.com, there are mailing lists devoted to just these 3 radios; they're called VR-500, Icom_R10 and Alinco-djx10, respectivly.  I'll
bet you'll get lots of opinions from these groups...
