Karl & Carl,
I can confirm that for the last 15 or so years, Western & North Western
Baltimore County, Howard County and Southern Carroll County State Parks have
consistantly operated on Channels 6 & 7. Channel 6 being the most active in
the western Baltimore area for law enforcement. I never understood why these
channels were assigned to the southern sectors and the northern most
counties in the state used them. Maybe they have a hidden channel plan or
just don't use the plan officially set up for them.
MD DNR Police-Ch.6-151.3100 (Longhill & Toll Booths at Park Entrances, when
staffed)
MD DNR Fire-Ch.7-151.2500 (In 15 years I've never heard more than a couple
of transmissions on here. There just aren't that many fires they handle.
Most are handled by the local fire departments.)
I hope this helps.
Andy
