I went up to Ski Liberty [just NW of Emmitsburg MD] yesterday evening,
driving up I-270 and US 15 on the way. I heard zilch on the MSP
frequencies. MD drivers must be more careful than the ones in VA. OTOH, I
had an OEM rubber ducky antenna in use, not a mag mount on the roof of
the car. That might have made a big difference.

I suspect 39.40 MHz is a birdie in my BC278CLT.
