Hi Wes,
At least the SSN is reduced to 109 and SFI is 107. With a K of 2.
So this is the right direction, in view of recent heights.
Because of Holidays, I have not been able to listen recently. But I plan to listen again in the following days up to about Jan 5th.
In looking at my notes and log for 2019, SN DX on 40m was worked by myself and W6XI from Dec. 14th though Jan 6 2020, with many stations heard or worked in between these dates. If you look at the SADXA reflector during this time, THE 40m SN DX activity was pretty well documented.
Darrel AA7fv has been working WSPR data, both RX and TX and so far has concluded that 2021 40m SN DX is far worse than 2019 and 2020.
This was expected, as my original predictions was based on the lowest solar indices to occur Dec 2019/2020.
However, we did not know how much above solar minimum made 40m SN DX impossible during the Dec Solstice.
We are now perhaps witness to the threshold.
If we can get a few days of solar lows, this might still be possible.
I am not giving up until about Jan 6th.
I was encouraged by your listening reports in Dec 2019 that you might be able to work on your inverted Vee.
Anyway, thanks so much for trying CW and FT8 on 40m near SN.
If there is a challenge for FT8, it IS 40m SN DX. If FT8 were used in 2019 for SN 40m DX, the FT8 should have blown the CW QSO numbers away .
There is always 2030!!

I listened again today with no luck.
SFI:121, SSN:107, K:2. Testing with RBN I was heard by the usual suspects in N.
CA and Austin, TX. Nothing from outside the US on FT8. I did see W5BN (FN33) call 9M2TO in W. Malaysia. Doesn't seem real to me and didn't see any completion. Several far NE US stations were calling EU.
