Hi Guys. The path this morning was LP and that is very normal this time of day. I have worked it many times up to maybe and hour before SR and well after SR. One first hears the middle east and deep Russians and as the time goes by the path moves West into Eu and ends up in the Northern EU area such as DLs, SM, even LAs before it gives up.
Every day is different. If you really want to hear what happens on 40 this time of year watch the band starting NOW. at 1500 local Eu should be in SP shortly and with the contest on you can get a great feel for what the band is like at our afternoon and evening right up to after SR tomorrow and then start all over again tomorrow afternoon.
This is one of the weekends that Bill, K6WSC, talks about when he says you can work DXCC in one weekend. That is a very true statement and I have been there several times over the years.
This is also one of the best weekends to pick up a few new ones. But you have to forget FT-8 and use that old antique mode CW.
Good Luck and it starts in just two hours at 0000 UTC. 5 PM our time
Good luck
