I met some of you at the last meeting, my name is Bryce Chanes, my call is
KR0CKT (Kay-Rocket).
Last month I participated in the IARU HF World Championships, my first ever
real HF contesting experience. Operating SSB, unassisted, high power, I
managed over 1,100 contacts my first 24-hour event. My main fascination
with contesting and DX come from an insatiable travelling bug. The
potential in the future to go on interesting and unique DXpeditions is
really exciting to me.
I don't know other member's backgrounds with participating in DXpeditions,
but if it is possible, I would like to seek some mentorship and learn what
these DXpeditions actual value in a ham, besides money and time off. I want
to know that I am good at operating in a style that suites a DXpedition and
practice for it.
What skills does a strong candidate for a DXpedition have?
Thank you all,
Bryce Chanes
