This is the latest update from the Superstition ARC about the Superfest
Saturday 12/6/14.
 
 
SUPERSTITION HAMFEST IS THIS SATURDAY! 

JD, KF7VOX conducted a 2-1/2 hour net to dispel rumors about cancellation of
the hamfest.  Some highlights follow: 

The Superstition SuperFest Rules

vendor identification and keep an address on file.  Please review the Rules

We are also advised by the city of Mesa, that a representative of the city
is not going to be in attendance in any official capacity. 

We will accept a voluntarily given contact info for letting us keep you
informed of upcoming events or pass a thank-you note back to you for your
participation.  You are not compelled to provide this information. 

We will not be enforcing the tax code, nor do we condone tax evasion.  Tax
code compliance is the responsibility of the vendor. 

A backpack advising others that the wearer has "this" for sale, to meet him
at his car trunk in the parking lot will only short the club its vendor fee,
and will not absolve the seller of any tax liability. 

Hourly drawing ticket will be given in exchange for the $5 admission, and
this ticket will entitle you to any hour's drawing, but you must be present
to win.  Hourly tickets do not count toward the main prize drawing. 
We mailed out to a random selection, 1000 invitations to our event, mainly
to new hams.  There is a one-time drawing based on that invitation, and
winner must be present. 

There is a Grand Prize drawing, and tickets will be on sale for it at the
club booth..  The winner does not need to be present to win this drawing.
