"Beli", C31KC, on 28497.9 in Andorra, was strong here today at about 19:15 Zulu,
and I worked him at 19:16.
It's a spec.-event celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Andorran constitution.
He was working simplex.
I was surprised to be able to leap-frog over the many E. coast stations trying to work him,
and was very lucky to get him on the third or fourth call when prop. became really strong,
using my Antron A-99 vertical at 35 ft., and 200 W.
I've been fascinated by the tiny principality of Andorra for years, and it's great to have
them in the log now as a new one, and on 10-m, at that.
I put out a QST on a simplex 2m freq. 145.630, and Wally, KB7GAI, was monitoring;
Andorra was fading afterwards, however. I don't know if Wally got them.
Since the Andorra station is a spec.-event station, I suspect that we'll hear him
regularly, perhaps at the same time of day, here, and maybe on other bands. The weekend
is coming, and it might get a little busy! Just a general heads-up... . Good luck!
