Most likely its a switching power supply. Just run clean power from a linear
power supply and it should be fine.

Subject: [SADXA] Birdies on the bands
All:
For your interest I just found the source of a couple of birdies that I have
been listening to for years on 160 and who knows where else. Come to find out
they were coming from the power supply for one of my HP printers in the ham
shack. This one happened to have a in-line switching supply that put two birdies
on 160 and I would imagine other bands that had a little higher noise level and
were less noticeable.
In any event if you are having problems with birdies on the band you might check
the printer supply. Unplugging it is the fix. Next step throw it away :-)
