They obviously have some logging issues there.

The other day when I heard  them on 17 SSB, I  turned on the amp to warm up 
and while I was waiting for that to happen, I thought, Oh what the heck, may 
as well call them with exciter, they were not strong at all, two calls and I 
had them, but that QSO does not show in the Log yet, nor does my 40M SSB 
contact.
KF7E doesn't have any particularly large system up. I think he just happened 
to be in the right place at the right time.
