The "Announced DXPeditions" site says that Mellish Reef is going to "focus
on low bands" and will be a "low key operation". Nice work snagging them on
160m Jerry.
I'm still missing my first VK9LA contact, which was 30 CW, now I wonder if
maybe it was a pirate since it was before a lot of activity. They have been
on 30 RTTY but not on CW recently that I've been around for.
I was hoping to catch them on 17 SSB a couple of nights ago, could hear them
but very weak. I gave up only to see a spot from KF7E in Phoenix (CADXA
President) shortly afterward. Guess they have some great stations up there.

Ok. I noticed they have been on 80 but I have not persued them there yet.
That will be tomorrow mornings objective. I had not seen them posted any
where else but I also had not looked very hard. They were strong yesterday
on 80 and today they had a great signal on 160 so they must have some good
antennas up for those bands.
GL catching them on 30
Did you catch that some of the phoenix guys got VK9LA on 24 megs the other
night?
