2013 W2QW Hamfest
Status Update, February 13, 2013

1.	Only 4 month to go!
2.	General
.	Member Job Assignments: A successful hamfest is possible only if
there are enough members contributing there time and effort to make it a
success. Please confirm your work assignment with one of the Hamfest
Chairmen. Drew, W2OU has a spreadsheet of assignment by club members. Until
notified the assignment you had last year will be the same assignment for
the 2013 hamfest. If you will not be available for the 2013 hamfest please
let Drew know so we can make sure we have coverage for that area. The
greatest manpower need is before the hamfest officially starts. We were thin
on help with the parking task and setup task last year. Most buyers and
sellers li9ke to come early so we need to be able to accommodate the surge
at the beginning. In addition to parking there areas to be set up to
include the concession area, PA table, Club tables and the VE testing area.
Any time you can put in would be greatly appreciated. Committee chairmen
should make sure they have sufficient manpower. If additional helpers are
needed please let the Hamfest Chairmen know as soon as possible. We have 3
draw vendors. They help to draw the crowd to our event. The venders are KJI
Electronics, Sauder Electronics and Cheapham. I need at least 3 individuals
to assist them to offload and load their products. If everyone helps
everyone will get to enjoy seeing what the vendors have to sell.
