To all RVRC members,

As you know, members are electing a Director in the Hudson Division for the first time in nine years. The balloting begins this coming Monday, October 1st. For those who have an email address on file with the ARRL, you will receive instructions on how to vote electronically. For those who don’t, paper ballots will be mailed to you instead.
It is important that you vote. There are only 15 Directors in the ARRL. Their purpose is to develop policy that affects all hams for years to come. The position is crucial to Amateur Radio.

I am supporting Mike Lisenco N2YBB for the position of Hudson Division Director. Mike has a long history of service to the Amateur Radio community. He is currently the Section Manager for NLI, has given years to EmComm as a volunteer, ARES DEC, ARES SEC and RACES Radio Officer. He is an active ham operating in contests, chasing DX, and just ragchewing whenever he can.

He understands both the hobby and the service aspects of Amateur Radio. Coming from the field, he knows where we should be heading. He brings new ideas and a fresh approach to amateur radio. He listens! And he is strong enough to represent our interests in Newington.

He has the time and the ability to best represent all of us. In my opinion, he is the right choice for the job.

We are at a critical point in our amateur radio activities, with the growth of wireless media we see a huge growth in demand for frequency spectrum. Amateur radio needs pro-active leaders who can see the dangers and who have the answers that will preserve amateur radio spectrum and thereby keep amateur radio a vibrant activity for all of us!

Mike also possesses the skills to help generate interest among youth to keep amateur radio growing........growth helps preserve amateur radio's place in the decision making processes in Congress and at the FCC.

If you’d like more information about Mike, go to his website: www.hudsonhams.com

I ask that you join me in voting for Mike when balloting begins next week. Thank you.

73,

Marv, K2VHW
