Preparing for the Next Electric Power Failure
The December 12th Regular Meeting of the New Providence Amateur Radio Club
will feature an informative Panel Discussion of Methods of Supplying
Electricity during a Utility Company power outage.
Subjects discussed will include:
Power requirements for a family home in the event of a lo0ng term outage.
Automatic, natural gas powered, generator and transfer systems,
Portable, gasoline powered AC generators;
Safety considerations including extension cords and transfer switches.
The panel will be composed of:
Jim Brown, WB2EDO, Frank McAneny K2EZR and John Zellhofer, KC2MTN. three
experienced members of NPARC, who will each present a short introduction to0
one of the listed topics.
Followed by an extended question and answer period.
