146.52 is technically the "calling" frequency . . . I was going to suggest
146.58 . . . I constantly monitor it - not much activity heard there !!!

Why don't we just use 146.52, 55 or 58. They get little use these days and
are good to have programmed in our radio. If we interfere with anyone we can
always invite them to the best hamfest in the area. Sure beats packet
interference.

Some are...but not a big deal for the fest.

According to the League band plan, there are a few places we can move on
a non-interference basis:


144.90-145.10 	Weak signal and FM simplex (145.01,03,05,07,09
                are widely used for packet)
145.50-145.80 	Miscellaneous and experimental modes
146.40-146.58 	Simplex
147.42-147.57 	Simplex
