Why? Radials on the ground are not resonant. What is importand is the
"total amount" of wire we can put out.
Remember, what we are doing is collecting return currents.
I wouldn´t waist my time by measuring the lenght of the wires, just
put out "as much as possible".

An antenna totaly without radials will also radiate however it will
give away lots of dB´s but sure you will make QSO´s.
