Leave it all in the vehicle, and do a mini rove to work and back every
day. Nothing better to do in that traffic jam anyway, make some DX
contacts! You'll also give everyone else something to look at, point
at, and just simply wonder if the aliens are coming soon...

Packing stuff away means it might get damp and corroded, or befall
some other nasty fate. The best life for a radio is being exercised
daily! When the next contest comes up, you'll know it's in working
condition, and be very familiar with how to operate the gear. Besides,
sometimes enhanced propagation pops up outside of contest windows.
