Thanks to all that called TE & found other sources for the relay, never
figured out why I got the messages that day. They are still alive. I have
determined that I had more than relay problems. The 432 Mhz amp lowpass
filter was operating a little low and attenuating 432Mhz, also the input and
output circuit paths trace width changes several times in the layout. I hope
everyone knows TE uses the same PCB for all four bands. I ended up leaving
the preamp relay out and still could not get a good pass thru SWR after
fixing the filter. I replaced the filter with a 1/4 inch wide silver strap
~.8 turns ( not quite 1 turn), diameter ~.65 inch and two 10pf ATC xmitting
caps. I added a 2pf cap as close to the normally closed pole of the Xmit
side relay pole to ground, as I could. This reduced SWR to ~1.15, I can use
it now!. Pass thru loss now measures about .7dB, Oh Well!, still better. Now
get ~170 Watts out with 25 watts drive. Before with the SWR of 2+ I could
not get more than ~120 Watts, the rig was not putting out full power due to
SWR. I also replaced the coil in the 50Mhz amp with bigger diameter wire and
1 less turn, this filter also was a little low in frequency. I need to go
back and see if I can tune out the xmission line reactance like the 432 amp.
Likewise need to check the 144 and 222 amps and tweak them a little also.
