I setup my rover schedule before the contest and try very hard to
stick to it. I average 1.5 hours operating time per grid at an
operating location. I will shorten it 1 hour in the local grids and
as much as 2 hours in the moderately rare grids that are not that far
away.

Sticking to the schedule.

I start the contest at the DX grids and work toward the population
center. For January we are driving to the DX on Friday night and
staying in a Hotel.
