[Racal] RA6790/GM battery

Someone brought up the point that NiMH batteries do not 'like' trickle
charging as would occur with this circuit. I was unaware of this property
for NiMH. The previously mentioned Varta was NiMH. Anyone want to tell me
more about this? I really hate NiCads, so am very interested.
