[R-390] Question about a R-390A & R-725 with a silver faceplate

I almost wish I'd taken a similar approach to my R-390/URR's faceplate. I had a lot of problems getting a good paint job on it.
Unfortunately, the R-390A/URR is labeled as an R-390 and it appears that's engraved.
