Thank you Larry, Prior picture of the one receiver front panel. This unit needs additional parts and work to make it operational. Scope TBD.In retrospect I should have taken a picture of the panel as received, when old paint was stripped, another following the 600 grit sanding, another closeup of removing all the old filled in engraving, another showing residual AL chromate treatment, and finally a closeup of the post lettering of engraved panel,. All very easy to perform with a current mobile phone.
However this is the receiver aluminum front panel following the powder coating (fused cross-link) polyester. And the filled in lettering. The coating was performed locally in exchange for me fixing a guitar tube amplifier. Sometimes this tube knowledge helps.... grin
I will read up on the newbie document. Thanks again

I went down the powder-coating road once and really regretted it. The place I used didn't do a very good job and the engravings were filled in way too much. I ended up getting it removed (which was rough on the panel). I managed to get one to work "okay" and I think I ended up filling in the engravings on the other one with JBWeld, painting it, and had it silk-screened. Sad.
