[R-390] R-390 non A 12khz jump

Hi All,
My 390 non A has developed a 12KHz offset when first turned on, and after about 2 mins it disappears until the next cold start.
It does it on all bands so I'm thinking it has to be the VFO but before I put a T on the VFOs coax and hook it up to a frequency counter I would ask here if this is a known bug.
Would the 3FT7 going bad cause something like this?
