Hi Larry,

Let me provide some comments.
I had an original of this Collins R-390 manual (23 October 1953) in hands in
1984, and I photocopied every page, including the big size schematics that
came with.
I did not restored it myself: the .pdf you can download now is totally due
to the document restoration expertise of Keith Watt, the owner of the Royal
Signals UK website.

Why the restored document is so large is because it is watermarked/protected
to prevent piracy.
I should also mention that, because it is the first ever published manual
for the R-390/URR, it does not contains all the engineering
changes/modifications that appeared in the TM11-856 and TM11-5820-357.

Hi All,  I've added a link in the 'References' page on our website to an
automatic download of this document.  It's not for viewing, just
downloading.  It's the 1st one in the 'Army' section.  Here's a link to

this document and arranged with the website owner to setup this download
link.  It's a very large file, 138 MB, so it takes a little while to get it,
but it's worth it.  The quality is very good.  This manual is the
