Even though I no longer own a R-390 or R-390A. I enjoy the list. I am 79 and I also don't have a ticket/license. The idea of a new list with better searching capabilities
sounds good to me. I'll throw in a couple of bucks or whatever...

Presently have a Hammarlund HQ-180 and an
Icom IC756ProIII with the AM BCB attenuation removed.

At one time I think I held the "record" for being put in the "Penalty Box." The list is quite quiet these days. I fear many of my era are no longer with us.

This is an interesting thread we are pursuing. The idea of a keyword search of the archives is brilliant, and will be very useful for all of us. My attempts with "Pearls" has misfilings, and can be frustrating when you are looking for a specific subject. Just for the record, I am 83 and a retired surgeon. Been fooling with radio since 1952, and am probably the only one on this listserv without a ticket. My stash is smaller now, with only two R390A's (an early Collins and a newer Capehart) with their original meters, an untouched R392, a BC-348Q, a couple of Q-5er's, and one RAX. My one "modern" unit is a TenTek 1254. My weakness is being a test instrument junkie, with a collection of homebrew gear.
