I should have mentioned…i still have too many heavy radios. Besides the 390/urr and 390A I have several SP-600’s, two National NC-183D’s, SX-28A, SX-101, Racal RA-17 and I’ve probably forgotten something. On the lighter tube stuff a Hammarlund HQ-180, a couple Heathkit receivers and transmitters and then the more modern stuff an assortment of Racal, Plessey, JRC and cubic receivers and a TenTec RX-340 to round things out….oh and can’t forget the featherweight Perseus.
I’m a receiver lover for sure…

My attempts with "Pearls" has misfilings, and can be frustrating when you are looking for a specific subject. Just for the record, I am 83 and a retired surgeon. Been fooling with radio since 1952, and am probably the only one on this listserv without a ticket. My stash is smaller now, with only two R390A's (an early Collins and a newer Capehart) with their original meters, an untouched R392, a BC-348Q, a couple of Q-5er's, and one RAX. My one "modern" unit is a TenTek 1254. My weakness is being a test instrument junkie, with a collection of homebrew gear.
