[R-390] Old guy needs help identifying some things....

I have an R-1247 I picked up from an SWL'er in Rhode island.
Attached (below) is background info that I gathered over time from previous discussions on modified R-390A's here on the R390 forum. It is in a Word doc. I'm no expert on this and other guys here on the board have direct experience with the modified receivers. In any case, I hope this helps clarify what receiver you are looking at.

Yes, the R-1247 was part of the AN/GRC-129, which was a 1 kW SSB
upgrade done by Manson Laboratories to the Air Force's AN/GRC-26D RATT

supplied by TMC.

IIRC the synthesizer was built by Manson Labs.
Also I think this version of the R390A was used in the Apollo
program.
The receiver is probably a R-1247/GRC-129.
The synthesizer is probably a O-1203/GRC-129.
