[R-390] r390a and Q Multiplier

I see that there is a reference by Shaun Merrigan in HSN 27 to a method described in January 1965 CQ magazine pages 37-38 that he says worked well.

I've been using a Heathkit HD-11 Q Multiplier with my old Hallicrafters.for
a long time and I wonder whether it is worthy to attach a Q multiplier to
the 390.
There is no muvh information about the issue in the Pearls of wisdom and

HSN indications (#24) found that the audio was a bit lower with the HD-11.
He tapped the Q multiplier in pin one of V204.
Has anyone had experiences about the result of using a Q multiplier as a
way of improving (if so) the performance of the 390?.
Is is correct the connection to pin one of V204 ?.
I think that not only would be the use of the notch facility a good
addition, but a very smooth fine tuning would be of help.
