Roger's last msg is important in that it emphasizes the fact that the readers on this particular reflector represent decades of experience on restoration of vintage Army-Navy gear: in particular the 390 line. There is no such thing as a "raw nerve" in this group of hardened techs. We are not a bunch of soap-box orators, just a bunch of folks that aim to restore this gear back to its outstanding analog capabilities...  in a world of DSP.
