Thank you Don and Nick for this terrific information.  As I was looking through it, I thought it was interesting that in EIMB-1-05 on p 42 was showing the use of an auto-transformer (a type of bucking transformer) to reduce line voltage before 1979.  Was high line voltage a problem on ships?
I noticed that I couldn't find any dates on any of the items.  Is there a way I can find out when a bulletin was first issued?
