And full of absolutely appalling workmanship. The missing RF deck cover
("Utah plate"), the mising Veeder-Root counter cover screws (2 of the
4), the bad orange-peel in the new paint, the
my-four-year-old-could-do-better "installation" of the antenna balun,
the PL-259 used with coax much smaller than it was intended for, the
3TF7 replacement that is not built into a 9-pin tube base header
(presumably, wires hanging off it are used as "pins"), and the extremely
unprofessional installation of the SSB adapter. Look carefully at the
photos and you will find more evidence that the seller couldn't be
bothered (or doesn't know how) to do things right.
Then there are the intentionally deceptive features, like painting the
stock tube shields black so potential buyers who don't know the
difference will mistake them for the expensive IERC shields they have
heard are better.
The seller obviously has no shame (or pride, or technical skill), but
well-developed avarice.
Best regards,
Charles
