I usually take the approach of trying to give folks a break.
When I was in boot camp (mid 70's) they were trying to teach us the basic gist of the book "I'm OK, you're OK''.
A few years ago the wife and I went to see a Christian comic who had a book out at the time titled "I'm not OK, you're not OK, and that's OK!"
What you just described, Bob, to me, is the perfect example of the old 'all have fallen and fall short of the glory' theme. That is exactly why I need to give folks a break, because sooner or later somebody is gonna need to give me a break, if I'm lucky.
Of course, some folks really test your ability to put all this in practice, and I'm sure that sometimes I'm that guy.

The real heart to the entirety is the vast burden of Human flaws.
1) Physical - There are more nerves and other parts of the body that are not in the place that anatomy teaches. Much more common than understood.
2) Personalities - Every personality has pieces to it that we ALL are bothered with. Things we say, do, forget, find wondering what was meant to do. This is endless
3) Mental - Memory fails to recall, go the direction not intended, glasses on top of head, can't find them.
We all live with them.
I have my share. Perhaps it appears that I may be worse than all.
However, I seriously doubt it.
The current silent treatment is fine. I won't lose sleep over the issue.
Ask yourself the very old question: "He/She that is without sin, cast the first stone."
Yes, I got far beyond simply out of line. I have no excuse. I am human.
Many OT things come up. It is a bit cyclical.
I used and posted language that did NOT belong here.
Yet, some forwarded old Nolan Lee memories which also included:
Language
Weapons
Explosives
Survival packs
I wonder about a lot of the things that get posted.
Some tag lines are a bit absurd. Nobody comments.
Insults have been posted over the last three to five days.
Todd made a few points over some issues.
Some have definitely have altered their posts and highly likely their views.
Todd made it fairly plain. Joining ANY list is inviting ALL of them into your home.
I do go off like an explosive device sometimes. It is indeed a significant personality flaw!
This has been the worst I've managed. That has been shameful in itself. I accept full responsibility for the actions I have done. I admit that the meds I take either work or over work.
I have spent several weeks with obtaining new radio equipment. Building a new operating bench. Spending what has probably been too much money to go through all of this.
Yes, I have apologized to the entire list. No forgiveness asked for, deserved, nor expected.
I am whom I am.
All of you are whom YOU are.
Were we to all be able to gather in one place and have coffee, lunch, snack, or whatever each desires.
I believe that more friendships would occur than by the simple chracters that get entered into a post without regard to the content.
Words are just that. Simply words. No real damage comes from them.
People get upset, angry, offended, and Lord only knows what!
Find one single person/human that doesn't manage to do with words what they would not do in person. I'd really be astounded if you can.
