Bill,

You ask, 
Would not Kielbasa grease kind of gum up the gear train and attract flies? :-)

 
Prior to some Pennsylvania kids who were playing in the tar pools, and concocting petroleum base lubricants, most lubrications
were derived from animal or fish sources.
 
Of course they were gummy and attracted sand dust and other none lubricating stuff.

This was an employment opportunity. It keep many guys employed   Performing semi annual 
or more frequent maintenance procedures that amounted to cleaning and re-lubing machinery.

Pork fat is a superior natural organic lubricant just add a little sulphur to keep the flies away.

Is it just me or does it seem that when things get heated up and tempers 
flare within this group, someone FINALLY tosses in the GOOD OLE KIELBASA and it 
becomes KISS AND MAKE UP TIME????

Not at all, The remembrance of past seasons, or the unknowing of the new readers brings such
terror to the reflector every one breaks clean, retreats to their neutral corner and girds there loins with 
strength. Then jumps bad into the fray seeking an advantageous hold.
