Wrong. You only have part of the story. The results were indeed 
breathtaking. I remember several magazine accounts of that DXpedition. 
The account is from Chuck Rippel, and I talked to him about it one time. 
Also, he wrote a couple of articles on it. He attended with several well 
known DXers. They used a variety of antennas with some long bevs. They 
set up each of their rigs and then concentrated on their areas of 
interest, sometimes running shifts. The logs were incredible. Hams tend 
to overlook SWLing sometimes. I was into it full tilt boogey for a long 
time. The WJ HF-1000 that was so leaky belonged to a columnist named 
George Zeller. This story is one of those that will always be in radio lore.
