Carburetor cleaner???? Or engine cleaner???? Foam engine cleaner and wd40 same action..... It's mineral spirits(paint thinner)
Carburetor cleaner is good but be careful. It's rough on the lettering and decals not to mention chassis itself if left on too long. It is sure strong. If I take apart partial or full gear train I still use mineral spirits to clean parts in a bath. It's also cheap. Then i wipe gears down with lacquer thinner to finish up to get any remaining crud before reassembly. I am too scared of carb cleaner near the decals, lettering etc.
