Off _what_ frequency? You were on the one you chose; what makes him think
there have to be 100-Hz detents on the VFO?
"There goes the Swan net, drifting together across my RX passband." Things
have changed, and the new generation of gear pretty much doesn't drift,
chirp, click, or have any personality. That's why I like the '390 stuff. I
fell in love with it when I saw my first one, way back when, but only in
the last 10 years did I get a change to actually _own_ any. Inspired
design, damn fine implementation.
I guess I need to put together an HB TX with some very carefully-tailored
chirp, just to get the Officious Observers on my case.
