 Hi Nick,

Thanks for the great info.. And the excellent question..

What did the world do before ebay???? Hi Hi Guess the Navy had to depend on Eham.net... Hi Hi

Do you remember the YELLOW SHEETS?? It was not long ago that that was the way to get the latest scoop
on radios for sale.

The successful buyer paid for First Class delivery and waited at his mail box as the Poastman/woman drove by.
Only to yank the mail from his hands and RUN back into the house to his tethered phone, maybe or maybe not rotary, and dialed those numbers. The
guys further away from wherever it was that Yellow Sheets were mailed from all-ways got sloppy seconds.

That was back in those good ole days when Radio's still had some personality, instead of the VCR's on Steroids looking stuff we have now days,
uhhh,, I meant DVD Players on Steroids... Hi Hi

Thank God we didn't know how awe-full all of that old stuff we used to use was. Guess we were too busy ENJOYING THE HOBBY ! ! !

I called CQ on CW last week and had a fellow, a KE4???, told me I has 40 Hz off frequency???????
I looked real quick to make sure I was not out of band and then laughed my a$$ off.. It was pointless to explain to him
the digital display he was focused on might be 40 Hz off frequency..

I was using my Johnson Ranger II and a Hammarlund HQ 170..
I should have taken this as a complement since the HQ 170 had only been on for about 10 minutes..
Heck the 170 drift's like a drunken politician on a good day.... Hi Hi Hi...

You gota love the NEW GUYS ! ! !
