Hi Tom et al,
I first thought I'd just send this to Tom, but thought I might as well
use it to ck in on the "distribution" topic myself.
I've known Tom for 8-10 yrs, my wife knows his name but has never met
him. She saw his list without my pointing it out. Her first thought
was, "that's not too bad, Al has that big a list." BUT she didn't see
the qty no.s at first. Now she knows my accumulation is almost
insignificant in comparison. Thanks Tom.
Tom's helped me out with things in the past, and I've helped him out.
But I had no idea he had all that, I've never been to his house (it's
not all there, I understand), he lives 4 hrs away. But we get together,
at least at Shelby, once a yr or more, and correspond often.
(Just a sober word in here -- ) We need to heed David Stinson, and Don
Reaves, who bring up a subject that comes up every so often. What
happens to all our "troth" when we disappear. We never know when that
might happen. Help your spouse now, to be able to handle it then. Yes,
take care of the really nice stuff that should continue to be desired
for several generations (hopefully), but for all the rest that some
folks still around might like to have, at least keep an inventory of
what it is, when you got it, what condition it is/was in, maybe what you
paid, and maybe what it should be worth AS IS. If you've done anything
to enhance it's value, document that, but unless it's pristine, don't
expect it to be worth lots more. Make it easy for it to be disposed of
in a good way, not to the dump. Maybe ask someone you and your wife
know, in the BA world, to watch out for the disposal.
	OK, nuf o'that.
I'm originally a Connecticut Yankee, but along the way I realized that
"snow" is a 4-letter word. I decided long ago that NC was the place to
live, for me. Found a job here in about 1985-6. Retired here since,
close to the coast, in New Bern. I remember Nick England as "Mr.
Heathkit" back then.
