Steve,
Maybe my J-4 has a filter switch that needs to be re-worked but it takes a
*lot* of effort to switch from one position to the other. It is very
apparent that the filter switch arrangement was, at best, an
afterthought....albeit one that was cleverly done. IMHO, it takes waaay too
much torque to change the filter positions with the existing lever. And I
always worry about damaging the paint finish immediately under the lever or
breaking the lever.
If you can come up with a better alternative, by all means, do it.
If the "normal" amount of torque required to change the switch positions is
less than I am describing, someone please tell me what I would have to do to
the switch to reduce the amount of torque required to rotate it from one
position to the next.
Thanks es 73,
Chris
