I was in need of a USB cable, and I decided to go to the Radio Shack close
to my home to buy onw, rather than going to Fry's few miles down the road.

Well, the sales guy at RS wanted to sell me a USB cable for $41; he  try to
tell me that gold plated USB connectors were going to make my computer run
"like new".  No need to say that I went to Fry's and spent $1.97 + tax for a
10ft long cable.
