Even with the best of instruction and many decades of daily practice,
without good solder ANYONE will have a tough time doing a good joint.

To wit; be sure to get solder designed for hand soldering work. Eustatic
stuff comes to mind, and these formulas ARE avialable in stuff that does not
use rosin in the core. BUT **you** have to be the one that uses the right
stuff.
