I was tempted to email Tisha to ask about what sorts of communications
she installs or works on, but instead I went surfing for information
about digital television. (I still wonder if it will be useful to get
one of those converter boxes so our "old" analog TV set can receive
something off the air.) I found a website that gives LOTS of
information about frequency allocations of all sorts, including:

-family radio
-National Weather Service (NOAA)
-Digital TV channels
-marine VHF channels
-BCB am clear channels
-cable tv channels

Anyway, with an R-390 of any sort and a converter or two, you can
surf to frequency regions you never knew existed!

Here at K1LKY, there are two ECM receivers of very early sort - the
APR-4Y. They have tubes, and 30 mc IF and baseband video outputs and
they tune up to about 1000 mc. With that, I can listen in on most
cable tv channels, it turns out.

Sooo many projects, soo little time.

Roy
