As several of you have noticed, the Antique Radio Forum page which I passed
along the other day has evidently suffered a breakdown and it 
doesn't seem to be recovering very quickly.   However, thanks to tabbed 
browsing, I was able to save the images and you can view them here at the

Self-explanatory, but you can, of course "quiggle" the end of a component
lead directly if you wish. 

To each his own, but I think Hippocrates was onto something when he said the
first rule should be "do no harm", and IMHO this approach to component
replacement does the job with minimal collateral damage.
